In 2023, Toby Ziegler won the election for Dog Mayor of Tryon. Named after the White House Communications Director from the television series The West Wing, Toby is a staffy-bully-akita mix and a “100% good boy” according to owner and campaign manager Hollie Swofford. He’s a social butterfly who thrives on making new acquaintances. Toby also relishes basking in the sunshine, seizing every opportunity to enjoy Tryon’s pleasant climate.
