1:30 – The Conspiracy Thirys

The Conspiracy Thirys are a family band made up of dad, Jeremy, on bass and guitar, Jacob (16) on mandolin, Adelaide (13) on clawhammer banjo, Greyson (9) on guitar and bass, and Silas (7) on fiddle. Mom, Heidi, is also in training on clawhammer banjo but has yet to overcome her stage fright. They discovered traditional music through the local PacJAM program in Tryon, North Carolina and have been playing together for almost four years. Their main focus is Old Time music from the Appalachian Mountains, which is a predecessor to Bluegrass. They love how music brings all types of people together and creates new friendships. When not playing music, they enjoy kayaking, traveling, and building forts in their woods. After debating for quite some time over band names, they finally settled on the odd name of Conspiracy Thirys, which is a play on their last name, Thiry (pronounced like “theory”).
