 Alex Schweizer, Grand Marshal

Welcome to the zaniest parade of the year! Join us on Trade Street for big laughs, bold creativity, and just the right amount of ridiculous as the April Fools’ Day Parade kicks off at high noon (noon-ish!). This parade is all about creativity, costumes, and community fun!

Who Can Join?

Everyone! Businesses, organizations, groups, families, individuals, and (of course!) outhouses are all welcome.

  • Dress up in your wackiest costume.

  • Decorate a bicycle, wagon, or vehicle.

  • Create a recycled “Trashion” outfit and model it.

  • Build an outhouse for laughs, even if you don’t want to race.

If it’s creative and makes people smile, it belongs in the parade!

Outhouses

Outhouse teams may participate in the parade, the race, or both.

Parade-only outhouses are welcome! You do not need a race-ready outhouse to join the parade. Outhouses may move slowly, be pushed or pulled, and are encouraged to stop, wave, and show off their design.

Race (right after the parade):
This is where speed, teamwork, and engineering come into play.

Parade Awards

Parade prizes will be awarded for creativity, effort, and spirit!

  • Grand Marshal’s Choice – Most Creative Parade Entry – Collection of Gift Cards from local shops!
